Getting more specific farm animals get alot of absue too. They should be able to roam free... (while they can.) We should be appreciating them insted of harming them because they give us food.
Many animals are kept in cages where they can't move or even sit down. Chickens, for example, are kept in cages that are sloped and only wire bottoms. They feet often get caught in the wire and their flesh grows around it trapping them.
- 95% of egg-laying hens spend their lives in battery cages. Battery cages commonly hold 5-10 birds, and each chicken may be given an amount of floor space equivalent to less than a sheet of letter-size paper.
Most cows are also kept very small spaces. They are often given growth hormones which causes their utters to grow very large and heavy. This causes the cow to get infections which are painful for them.
